We are pleased to announce that we have set the dates for our social meals and drinks for the remainder of 2018.
Our members, and their guests, are very welcome to join us at the following events:
- Chinese buffet (Thursday 14 June) at San Chinese
- Curry (Thursday 18 October) at Balti King
- Christmas meal/drinks (Thursday 13 December) at Wetherspoon's
These are excellent opportunities for all members to meet, network and share an enjoyable evening. We particularly encourage new members to come along and meet their counterparts.
We are also organising at least one Café Scientifique event for later in the year: please watch this space!

Members are hereby given notice that an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) will be held on Wednesday 16 May to ratify a new Constitution for the Society.
This implements the appointment of the elected Council as the Society trustees, as approved at the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 22 November 2017.

We have been able to arrange a very rare opportunity to visit Terling Place and see Lord Rayleigh's original laboratory as he left it!

It's the long-awaited return of the CSES social trips and tours!
We are offering an exclusive opportunity to look around the abandoned water filtering plant at Sandford Mill, along with a private tour of the Marconi and industrial museum, with Tim Wander.
This is only the second time the filter house has been open to the public since the original opening in October 2016. Don't miss out!
