Membership

Payment and Gift Aid

You can easily pay online for your CSES membership with PayPal, as a one-off or recurring subscription.

As a registered charity, we can claim Gift Aid on your membership subscription and other donations if you are a UK taxpayer. Just tick the box when joining or renewing online!

Online payments

Membership subscriptions and other payments made through our website (such as for ticketed events) are processed by PayPal. At checkout, you will be automatically redirected to the PayPal website to complete the transaction and then returned to the CSES website.

Easy for you:

  • Completely safe and secure.
  • Pay with credit card, debit card or bank account.
  • You do not need a PayPal account for one-off payments.
  • Option to set up recurring payment for automatic membership renewal (requires PayPal account).

Easy for us:

  • PayPal talks directly to our systems to update our records automatically (for example, membership renewals).
  • Our volunteers can get on with charity work rather than manually processing bank transactions.

Other payments

If you are making a special or one-off payment to us, for any reason, we will discuss the arrangements with you at the time.

Some members have legacy subscriptions paid by standing order. If you need to discuss your standing order with us, please contact CSES Membership Support.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid increases the value of donations to charities by allowing them to reclaim basic rate tax on your donations, if you are a UK taxpayer. As a registered charity, CSES can reclaim Gift Aid on membership fees and other donations.

You can make or update your Gift Aid declaration online, when starting or renewing your membership.
