Some Background
Science and technology are continuously and rapidly expanding into every aspect of daily life. The Chelmsford Science and Engineering Society (CSES) is a registered Charity working to advance public engagement in science, engineering and technology throughout Essex. It delivers and supports education in STE(A)M, promotes relevant careers, and provides a social and professional network for its members.
The Role
CSES is currently seeking a new President who will continue to expand, develop and deliver the strategic plan, foster new relationships, cement existing working relationships with partners, set new goals and fundraising targets. It is an exciting and high-profile opportunity for someone who is passionate about STEM industries and STEM education. It is an influential role, which will see you working at the most senior levels with Anglia Ruskin University, Essex County Council, Chelmsford City Council, STEM Learning and Ambassador Networks, the Professional Institutions and the charity’s Corporate Members as well as STEM Industries.

The Candidate Profile
You will ideally have experience in the STEM industrial or educational sectors and enjoy working with people and delivering results.

You will be leading – and supported by – a friendly core team of trustees, volunteers and partner representatives.
