OECD has named creativity as the key 21st century skill. Despite this, there has been a national decline in the uptake of creative subjects in schools. This presentation will discuss how the V&A Museum is working with industry to overcome siloes in education and promote creativity across the curriculum. Using several national case studies, it will present how co-working with educators and industry has been crucial in reaching students who need the most support, along with how design innovation can be a link between arts and sciences.

Elizabeth Galvin is the Head of Learning and Digital Programmes at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
She is an experienced museum curator and anthropologist with specialisation in digital humanities. She is passionate about museological applications of technology and the use of digital outputs for education, outreach, and engagement to make collections and heritage available online, and finding creative solutions to work with communities and museum audiences for heritage preservation, learning, and dissemination.

Refreshments will be available from 30 minutes before the advertised start time.
