VERY FEW PLACES LEFT FOR THIS TOUR! - BOOK NOW.
As a follow up to the talk given by Maciej Pawlikowski last year we are fortunate to have received an invitation to visit the library for a tour of his department. The department is responsible for the digitisation of the two and a half million items in the library's "Special Collections" and Maciej will show us the wide range of instruments they use to carry out this work.
As another treat, Dr Katrina Dean, the Curator of Scientific Collections has offered to present some items under her protection for us to view in a private exhibition.
We envisage that these events will last about two hours, after which we will be free to head into the town for lunch and to explore some of the other delights on offer there - or to head home if preferred.
Participants will need to get to the library by their own means and we would encourage car sharing if possible. There is no charge for this event but numbers will be limited so early booking is advised. From the library it is a leisurely 10 minute walk to the centre of town!
