Electrogenic has teamed up with Babcock International to convert four Land Rover Defenders (2 x Wolf and 2 x WMIK) to all-electric drive for the British Army Armoured Trials and Development Unit. These will be the first EVs being assessed for combat in the British Army. The purpose is to better understand the characteristics of EVs in simulated battlefield situations to inform the upcoming procurement of replacements for a number of army weapons platforms. The talk discusses the challenge in the context of the conversion of ICE vehicles to electric drive - at the core of these vehicles will be Electrogenic’s proprietary technology which is available for installation in a Land Rover (or E-Type, or 911, or classic Mini or Citroën DS or Morgan 4/4 or Morris Minor, etc.) near you.
