Three Dimensional Anatomical Mapping In Cardiology

Registration is closed for this event
A FREE IET talk for the public by Jonathan Sibley (Head of Service Cardiac Rhythm Management, Essex CTC Basildon University Hospital)

NOTE: This talk starts at 6.30pm!

Electrophysiology is the study of Cardiac Arrhythmias, the prevalence of which is increasing as the population age. This talk aims to give an introduction to advanced technologies used to identify and treat cardiac arrhythmias. The greatest challenge in treating arrhythmias is identifying the mechanism of the arrhythmia and planning an effective treatment strategy, whilst avoiding damage to the natural conductive system of the heart. 3-D mapping systems assist us in doing this and have improved outcomes and safety.
