Taking place on the second day of testing for the 2023 season, and one week before the first race, this talk is a rare chance to get insight from a Formula One engineer.
Richard will unpick the importance of Engineering in Formula 1; in particular how it plays a significant part in achieving the ultimate goal: producing two fast, race-winning, cars.
The state-of-the-art technology used to conduct precise measurements needed to achieve performance improvements will be shown. Finally, we will delve into some rarely-seen real examples of design studies from past seasons.
The talk will conclude with a Q&A session: come armed with questions!
