Space Imaging: A Story Made In Chelmsford

Chelmsford has, for many decades, been home to World leading producers of technology in many different fields but how many of us realize just how cutting edge that technology is? In the first of two talks** by engineers at Teledyne e2v, Gabriela Druitt, Director of Engineering, will tell us how Teledyne e2v technology is helping to capture images from space.

You can learn of the images we are able to capture from space with different types of sensors from IR to visible sensors (manufactured at Teledyne e2v's facility in Chelmsford), and how these give us the knowledge to be proactive in the protection of the planet we call home and explore the vast growing universe around us.

Gabriela Druitt has a diverse work experience. Gabriela joined Teledyne e2v in 2017 as a Production Test Engineer. Gabriela then moved on to become a Project, Verification and Test Engineer, and later a Project Technical Lead. After becoming Head of Detector Engineering in 2020 Gabriela was appointed as the Director of Engineering in August 2022. Prior to working at Teledyne e2v, Gabriela was a student at Universitatea "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" din Iaşi from 2008 to 2010 before gaining a Masters Degree and PhD at Royal Holloway University.
